Investigation finds corruption in BP oil spill claims

An investigation found that lawyers plotted to corrupt settlement processes intended to compensate victims of the 2010 BP oil spill. Former FBI director Louis Freeh conducted an independent inquiry on plaintiffs’ lawyers and found that many were involved in the plan.

However, Freeh found that claims administrator Patrick Juneau did not engage “in any conflict of interest, or unethical or improper conduct.” He did find misconduct of claims-administration employees, but processing payments to spill victims should not be affected.

Sadly, corrupt handling of claims can only make getting the compensation victims deserve harder. Fortunately, with the help of our legal team at Williams Kherkher, who has successfully won many BP claim appeals, you may be better able to get the money you need. Call us at 800-821-1544 today.
