Attorney Jon Andry recently submitted a request to U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier to disqualify claims investigator, Louis Freeh from the BP oil settlement case. Andry wants Freeh disqualified because of alleged ties to BP.
Andry, who is representing BP oil spill claimants, argued that Freeh should recuse himself because of “direct financial and legal alliances with two of the law firms representing BP.”
The current settlement amount has reached $9.2 billion for victims affected by the Deepwater Horizon gulf oil spill in 2010.
